Biology 1A

Course Description

 

This course will provide students with an overview of biology- the study of living things. It provides an introduction to the fundamental principles of life as they apply to both plants and animals. It will also provide students the opportunity to study inter-relationships of plants and animals with their environment. This course will fully prepare students for Biology 1B in which Genetics and Evolution are studied and related back to concepts covered in Biology 1A. Upon completion of this course students will show proficiency in course learning standards and daily targets outlined by the Next Generation Science Standards; as measured by classwork, participation, homework, projects, and tests.
