About Me
Originally from Chicago, Illinois, Alana M. Jevert-Glover relocated to Portland for college. She received her B.A. in English and M.A. in Education from Lewis and Clark College and Portland State University. Before coming to CMC, Alana taught a variety of subjects including English literature, creative writing, art, fashion/costume design, and photography. She has many creative pursuits: playing music, ballet, theater, and traveling are her passions. She leads the educational travel program, CMC Wanderlust Club, and led student tours to Italy and Greece. Wanderlust Club will visit Japan in 2019, and France & Spain in 2020. Alana and her husband Greg are animal lovers and share their Northeast Portland home with 3 cats and a semi-famous dog, Biscuit. Check him out on Instagram: @biscuitthecatrustler

Fridays we will have a guest student teacher, Jessica Patty!

Hello, my name is Jessica Patty, and I will be a part-time student teacher for Alana M. Jevert-Glover, during the fall 2018 term at CMC. A little background about me: I received my B.A. in English from Portland State University in 2014. I am currently a graduate student at Warner Pacific University, and I am working towards earning my M.A. in Teaching with an emphasis in Secondary Language Arts.

I was born and raised in Portland, OR and currently live in Sandy, OR with my husband and our cat, Molly. I enjoy reading, writing, hiking, gardening, and foraging for mushrooms in Oregon’s beautiful old growth forests. I look forward to meeting everyone and getting a chance to discuss some great literature!
