SCHOOL IS ON FOR TUESDAY, September 15, 2020

CMC Families,

For those of you affected by the fires, all of us at CMC are sending positive thoughts your way.  Click on the following link for resources to help with the fire danger in Clackamas County.
Please stay safe, and we will get through this together!

Because our orientation for students was cut short on Friday for student in our College Prep Program, we will continue with our plans to get students into the classes they are enrolled in during Comprehensive Distance Learning (CDL).

Because this is new to all, we will run our students in our College Prep Program through their abbreviated schedules just for tomorrow, (Tuesday, September 15th).  This will help us get through any technological issues and get students into the right classes for the term.

The abbreviated classes will be 30 min each, and teachers will go over their syllabi and materials for the fall trimester.  The schedule for Tuesday, September 15th is listed below:
  • Period 1- 10:00-10:30am
  • Period 2- 10:35-11:05am
  • Period 3- 11:10-11:40am
  • Period 4- 11:45-12:15pm
On Wednesday, September 16th, we will begin with our CDL schedule for the year.  Since students haven't officially begun their classes, they will report to the College Readiness Seminar (CRS-Advisory) class from 10:15am-11:15am.  This class will be: a welcoming of students into our community for the year, along with an opportunity to address any questions or issues that have come up during the last week.

On Thursday, September 17th, and Friday, September 18th, we are hoping that all students are familiar with their schedule, and we will begin our official first two days of classes.  If your daughter/son knows their schedule (via StudentVue), and how to access Google Classroom, they may report to their Period 1 at 10:00am on Tuesday, September 15th.

If students are confused as to how to report to their Period 1 on Tuesday, September 15th, please have them follow the directions below to enter the CMC Virtual Commons at 9:30am on Tuesday morning, and we will get them to their first period class.
  • Please click on the link below to enter the Clackamas Middle College Virtual Commons for Tuesday, September 15th at 9:30am
The links to the videos from the two orientation sessions last week are listed below:
Once students enter the CMC Virtual Commons on Tuesday, September 15th, we will help them navigate to their classes.  It would also help for students to enter the CMC Virtual Commons at 9:30am, so we can get them to their first period class by 10:00am.

Thanks for your patience and flexibility, as we navigate through a very difficult time.

Respectfully,

Brian
