CCC Registration begins Tuesday 2/28!!

CCC begins registration for Spring term this week. I hope you are all feeling ready to register this week. If you're needing any support or haven't had your advising meeting yet, please drop in to Victor's room after school today 2/28 and tomorrow 3/1 from 3:00-3:45 for help registering.

All students have been assigned a registration date and time (based on the amount of credits you have) in an orange notification box in the middle of your MyClackamas student portal. Please register as soon as your window opens to secure your spot in your first choice classes:

If you have an account balance, you will not be able to register until that is paid in full. There will be a notification in the orange box as well if you have a balance.

Please feel free to email or come by after school this week if you need help! If you requested any CMC classes, you will be able to view your schedules on Synergy to see if you got a spot by March 15th.

Good luck!

Online CEO Group Available to Join!

Hello CEO students!

We have created a CEO Students and Alumni group on Facebook through a CMC Counseling account & page (both are under construction!) so we can have a space to post information and reminders for you. Please request to join the private group for CEO Students and Alumni (link below)

Based on feedback from students and knowing the importance of peer support, this group will help to keep CEO students connected to each other and to the CMC community in general. It is a place to ask questions you have about anything CCC/CMC or college-related, seek recommendations for classes/instructors, plan to take classes together, or plan group meetings or events for CEO students.

We strongly encourage you to join as we believe it will help support you and improve your overall experience in the program! With registration coming up, it's even more important to stay connected as you plan for Spring term and beyond. We will be managing the page, but it's primarily a space for students to connect. Like all things in life, you will get out of it what you put into it! Please keep your comments and opinions school-appropriate and respectful.

We are also in the process of developing the CMC Counseling page, which you can "like" for updates and info. https://www.facebook.com/CounselingatCMC/

If you do not have a facebook account or prefer not to use your personal account to join the CMC CEO group, you can create another account using your school email. You can also add other CEO students to the group and we will approve them if they are current CEO students or recent grads still attending CCC.

Thank you!

MFG-100 Adventures in Technology - Free CCC Class!

Hello CEO students,

We hope you are all getting ready for classes to start on Monday! We have an opportunity for students to take a CMC-sponsored (aka FREE!) class at CCC this term. The class is MFG-100 Adventures in Technology and is a 2 credit class that meets on TTH from 1:00-2:20 in Oregon City in Barlow Hall Room 151. Transportation is provided to and from CCC by our shuttle.

This class is a fun, hands-on exploration of different careers and degree programs at CCC such as welding, manufacturing, renewable energy and digital technology. It's primarily attendance-based class and is counted for elective CTE credits for the AAOT. Students have enjoyed this class in the past and since we have space this term, we are opening it up to interested CEO students.

If you are interested and it does not conflict with your existing classes, please let me know ASAP (today if possible) and I will enroll you in the class in MyClackamas and Synergy. Class starts Tuesday!

Thank you!

CEO REMINDERS - Classes Begin Monday, January 9th!!!

Hello CEO Students and Parents,

We hope 2017 is off to a great start for you! CCC college classes begin this coming Monday, January 9th. Please CAREFULLY READ the following reminders to make sure you don't miss any important information needed for a successful start to your term!

To-Do List:
  1. If you haven't already, please log in to your MyClackamas account to confirm you are registered for your approved winter term CCC courses.

  2. While logged in to your MyClackamas account, check your account balance by clicking on Payment Information, then Pay & Account Information. Remember to pay any balance over $800 as soon as possible to avoid any late fees. There will be a $30 late fee if your portion of the balance is not paid by January 20th. How to make a payment through Touchnet.

  3. Pick up from Crystal or purchase your required textbooks for the term. All textbook requests should have already been sent to Crystal. Keep your textbook receipts until the end of the term so you can get reimbursed for approved books. How to Find Your CCC Textbooks

  4. Just a reminder, any changes to CCC course schedules must be approved by your counselor to confirm they are in line with your CMC Ed Plan and Graduation Plan. Please contact your CEO counselor if you have any questions or issues with your schedule.
  5. Subscribe to the CEO Student Page for important updates and reminders this term. Here are some CCC Important Dates to Remember.
  6. Stay tuned for an email from your counselor requesting that you schedule your advising appointment for winter term to review your educational plan and prepare for spring term.
Words of Wisdom:
  1. Arrive early the first day or two to plan enough time to find your classrooms on campus and allow for any shuttle delays or parking issues.

  2. Make sure you are on time or early for your first day of class. If you are not in attendance on the first day, you will most likely be dropped from the class and anyone on the waitlist will take your place.

  3. If you are on a waitlist, show up early the first day with an add form in hand (Add Drop Form). If you are not in attendance on the first day, there is no way you will be added to the course.

  4. Make sure you have your organizational system in place for the term. USE A CALENDAR!!!

  5. Be PROACTIVE! Use the CCC resources that are available to you. Reach out for support immediately and continue to effectively communicate with both your CMC counselor and your CCC instructors throughout the term.  Online Tutoring (SmartThinking) & On Campus Tutoring (Learning Center) & CCC Math Lab (click on the links for hours and location)
  6. REMINDER: Academic Standing Policy - Please review the CMC Academic Standing Policy. Students must successfully complete all CEO classes with “C” grades or higher to remain in the CEO program.
  7. HAVE A GREAT TERM!!!
We look forward to a great Winter term with you all!
