Principal's Message

April 1, 2026

As we begin the third and final trimester of the year, I would like to bring attention to exciting and informative events we will be hosting to finish out the year. The events to come in the future focus on state assessments, and preparation for graduation and enrollment next year.

We are looking to administer the State Assessments to all our juniors in May.  To minimize scheduling conflicts for our juniors due to this assessment, we will be holding these assessments during the first Friday in May. All juniors enrolled at CMC should attend this session/testing day.  If needed, we will schedule make-up testing later in May for students who didn't finish or were not present during the first testing opportunity.

On Friday, May 1st, all juniors will be assessed in math and English, Language Arts (ELA).  The testing will take the whole day to ensure maximum efficiency for our staff and students.  Students in CMC's College Prep Program (except juniors) won't have to attend classes on this day as our whole school will be focused on the state assessments.  All other students in CMC's college programs will be expected to attend college classes as scheduled.  A letter will be sent home during the last two weeks of April to notify parents of this testing opportunity.

As we move closer to graduation, we will be coordinating with graduating seniors to ensure completion of their essential skills, credits, senior projects and other graduation requirements.  Please check our website for information pertaining to graduation coordination.  We are planning to graduate around 60 students this year, so communication is the key to success.

These events prove to keep us busy as we move into the homestretch of our school year.  As always, make sure to check the calendar for events and information. We, at CMC, want to make sure we are providing a quality education and unique opportunities to each student who comes through our school.

Thanks and just one more trimester to go...

… I am College…
