Hello Class of 2027!!
In addition to next week's Class of 2027 Information Night meeting, we will be holding an Intro to College Applications/Common App workshop on Thursday, September 24th from 1:00pm-2:45pm in the CMC Commons.
We want to support you in getting started with the college application process so please make sure to attend if you can to get help in the following areas:
What is the Common App and when is it best to use it?
How to set up your Common Application First-Year Student account and complete the basic application, including topics such as:
Adding schools to your dashboard
How to view and keep track of your deadlines
Differences between Early Action/Early Decision/Priority/Regular
Assigning your counselor and recommenders & FERPA release
Entering in information from your transcript for dual-credit classes
Other topics:
How to get started and stay organized with your college applications
How to request letters of recommendation from your CMC counselors
How to send transcripts and test scores to colleges
How to get application fee waivers for college applications
Tips on submitting essays/personal statements
This will be a hands-on session so you bring your laptops and your questions!! We look forward to seeing you!!
