NCSD recognizes and values the language(s) students speak and bring to their academic studies and encourages students in the continued study of languages. Teaching, Learning & Professional Development is excited to offer language assessments again FREE this school year to all current NCSD 9th - 12th graders. Our next opportunity is Monday, April 14th, at Clackamas High School.
The STAMP (STAndards-Based Measurement of Proficiency) assessment awards students up to 4 high school elective credits (Applied Arts -AR) for knowledge of a world language. Students are able to use the STAMP to demonstrate literacy in a language(s) and fulfill the requirements to earn the State Seal of Biliteracy at graduation.
Registration for the following language groups is now open.
STAMP 4S Assessment : Arabic, French, German, Hebrew, Hindi, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Mandarin (simplified and traditional), Polish, Portuguese (Brazilian), Russian, Spanish
STAMP 3S Assessment: Swahili, Yoruba
STAMP 2S Assessment: Amharic, Armenian, Bengali, Cabo Verdean, Chaldean, Chin (Hakha), Chuukese, Czech, Filipino (Tagalog), Greek, Haitian-Creole, Hawaiian ('Ōlelo Hawai'i), Hmong, Ilocano, Kannada, Khmer, Marathi, Marshallese, Nepali, Persian (Farsi), Punjabi, Samoan, Somali Maay Maay, Somali Maxaa, Tamil, Telugu, Thai, Turkish, Ukrainian, Urdu, Vietnamese, Yup’ik, Zomi

In order to streamline our process of registration, the student or student's parents/guardians must register online with their name, ID number, school, language and school email address. Space is limited, so please encourage students to sign up early.
