Clackamas Middle College Community,

Tomorrow, Wednesday, February 22^nd, we will take part in the NW Youth Careers Expo.  This event is the Northwest’s premier career-exploration experience. The NW Youth Careers Expo welcomes approximately 6,000 students from over 75 high schools in Oregon and Southwest Washington, as well as over 200 exhibitors representing the state's leading employers and postsecondary partners.

 The Careers Expo shows students the region's amazing diversity of career opportunities, along with the skills and education needed for those jobs. The Expo includes hands-on learning, demonstrations, mock interviews, career workshops and the chance to talk directly with professionals about college-and-career options. 

 The nonprofit Portland Workforce Alliance (PWA) organizes the event. The Expo's goals are to connect employers to their future workforce and help students make informed, inspired decisions about their education after high school - whether they choose a four-year university, community college or apprenticeship training center. Portland Workforce Alliance closely follows public health guidelines. The format of the event, including masking guidelines, may be adjusted accordingly.

 After our participation in the Careers Expo, we will return to CMC for lunch (to be provided) and workshops to continue to help our students in their journey toward college and career awareness.  This day looks to be a positive one for our community and we look forward to participating in this event.
