KGW News Career Day - Dream of becoming a journalist? Curious about working in media? Talk with your Counselor about registering - See Flyer attached

Dream of becoming a journalist? Curious about working in media? Spend the morning at KGW News. Students will go behind-the-scenes at KGW Studios and explore the news set and control room. They will hear from industry professionals on what it's like to cover local news in a fast-paced environment. They will also learn about getting started, developing skills and turning their first job into a great career.

How to attend:

 ASAP. (Type your email address and cell number carefully so we can reach you!)

Step 2: Have your parent/guardian fill out the parent/guardian permission form:  https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScP3c2rHMBTAoPxD27SZl0sWijT-fkX4xicluN2lE-YwqxDyA/viewform ASAP.

Step 3: PWA will contact you to let you know if you're accepted or waitlisted, or if the career day is full.

Step 4: Show up and have an amazing time!

Who can attend:

High school students in the Portland metro area are encouraged and welcome to apply. Priority given to students from PWA partner districts (Parkrose, Reynolds, Gresham-Barlow, North Clackamas, Oregon Charter Academy). Students from other districts are always welcome whenever space is available.
