The purpose of any club is to bring a community together to learn about and discuss something that matters to them, and a book club is no different.
Club members will select books to read and discuss in a place where they feel safe, valued, and knowledgeable.

What is an affinity group?
Affinity groups are like a club, with some important differences. Unlike student clubs, which are open to all who express interest, affinity work is specific to participants identifying as a member of that group through a common identifier. In this case, our affinity group is for CMC students identifying as female.
The affinity group meeting becomes what is known as a "safe space" allowing members to speak openly within the group without the pressure to educate others first or to defend one's identity. It is a time and place to step away from having to "represent" others and to become an individual within the group, rather than fitting into someone else's perception of what it means to be a girl.
Topics to be discussed are chosen by Affinity Group members each meeting.

Led by fellow Music Club members, as well as a teacher advisor who shares a passion and talent for music, members share, create, or discover music on an interactive journey. Members celebrate,
educate, support, inspire, create, listen, and express their love for the spirit of music.

The purpose of the club is to involve students who have an interest in digital photography and show an appreciation for what photography can say.
All students are welcome to join - experience in photography is NOT a requirement - just a desire to learn with a hands-on approach. Club members will be learning from each other as they share their latest images with each other to comment on, praise and offer suggestions for improvement. Join the fun!
