This course is designed to enhance your experience in the Pathways Program. Through academic advisement, learning about resources at CCC and beyond, group discussion, and peer support you will be provided with a structured environment to assist you in making the transition to attending college at Clackamas Community College. You will be encouraged to use critical thinking skills to set goals and make responsible decisions regarding academics, career planning, and social relationships. The course will also explore the purpose of higher education and your role in the college environment.

Complete the "Choosing the Right College" Worksheet from the Opportunities booklet. (see pg. 5). Due in class on 2/6. Use the resources from College Board and Oregon CIS to help narrow down your search and research details about each school.

Research College Admissions/Standardized Testing based on notes from class and the following links or other credible sources on the web (please cite if you use additional sources). Write one page (typed) of your findings and how that information will impact your decision-making and planning for college. Due 1/30 in class.

The results will be due as part of your final - the journal about starting the commitment will be collected in class on 1/23.
