This is a synchronous meeting assignment to be completed in-class. You will be assigned 1-2 of the texts below. If you miss class today, annotate pigs, goats, and zebras. You can delete the additional texts that you are not responsible for annotating. I find it easier to annotate when I copy and pasted the highlighting directions to the top of the text I am annotating for reference.

Go to the edpuzzle website. Watch the video and answer the questions. The video will keep track of your progress, so you don't have to finish it one sitting.

Create and submit a google slide presentation. The project description is called "Country Luck Report Card." I have attached an example project (not completely perfect). There is also a rubric included to help you evaluate your progress. The google sheet is a list of all student country assignments (if you forget or need to see the list to complete google form assignment from week of 10/26).

Turn in your self-assessment when you submit your project. Make sure to edit your project if your realize you have not met the project expectations. Write your total score at the top of the rubric. Place an "x" in the boxes that reflect your demonstration of the criteria being scored.

Insert your "Mental Map" into the shared jamboard (check email or jamboard.google.com) for your group. Answer the questions based on your observations of other student work through the jamboard. Do the best you can based on the number of students in your group who submit their maps. If you turned in your map late, please wait until Wednesday (noon) before giving up on other students who were struggling to turn in their assignment on time. If there is still missing maps for your group by the noon deadline, please complete the questions based on the maps that have been placed in your jamboard.

Assess your "Mental Map" using the grade-sheet. Score yourself after you complete the project and submit the document. Place an "X" in the rectangle that reflects your score. Be honest....I will compare my assessment of your work with your evaluation.

The following documents should all help you understand the expectations for the project. I provided an example of the map but did not include written directions from my house to CMC. You are required to provide directions, which should be typed (I won't post these online nor will I use them to come visit you).

"What is your map of your home" is the project description and requirements

The Unit Project consists of:
1:) Construction of a mental map of your place (I took a picture of my map and uploaded it to google drive)
2:) Written directions

I provided video instructions to help you edit the map with your computer, which involves taking a screenshot of the map, editing the image by cropping it, adding color, and then submitting your map.

Use the information provided in the document to understand how to answer the 2 questions. I apologize for the late submission of this assignment.

Decorate the quilt square with items that reflect where you live and who you are. This square will contribute to the creation of a class banner or quilt that will be posted on the frontpage of the google classroom. Items to be displayed may or may not include the following: maps, flags, names of people and places, pictures of family, interests, important values, etc.

Use the 5 Themes of Geography Slides to answer questions. Video review of slides is optional to watch.

Video Instruction is optional to watch. On the 2nd worksheet, I mistakenly asked you to plot the cities on the map. You are not required to do this. Write the name of the city next to its coordinates in the table. All world maps should contain the same longitude and latitude lines.

In the Synchronous Meeting, you will complete this assignment after discussing in small groups. This assignment is connected to the unit project. Do your best work.
