Hello Class of 2020!
There are TWO STEPS you need to complete to make the most of the Instant Viking Day event:
Thank you for signing up for the PSU Instant Viking day event at CMC on Wednesday, November 20th! I will be assigning you to a 30 minute appointment time between 10-12:30 during the time you indicated you would be available on the RSVP form. Keep an eye out for a confirmation email for your appointment time in the next 1-2 days! Here's how to get ready for the event:
There are TWO STEPS you need to complete to make the most of the Instant Viking Day event:
1) APPLY TO PSU AS A FRESHMAN - If you haven't applied to PSU yet, please submit an online application to PSU by Monday, November 18th at the latest so your information is in their system before the event.
Direct link to online application: https://app.banner.pdx.edu/applicationGateway/ - this application should take less than 30 minutes to complete. IMPORTANT: Select the Fee Deferral option in the payment section so you do not have to pay the application fee!
(We will submit high school transcripts for you and we'll go over how to submit SAT scores at the meeting, you just need to complete the online portion which takes less than 30 minutes and no essay is required)

2) MAKE SURE YOUR FAFSA IS COMPLETE- If your FAFSA has been submitted with PSU as one of your schools, the financial aid representative will be able to give you more information about your eligibility for programs such as Four-Years Free and other sources of aid as well as next steps for admitted students.
We have a great opportunity for you to apply to Portland State University and receive an admissions decision in person from PSU staff at the Instant Viking Day Event on Wednesday, November 20th from 10 am - 12:30 pm at CMC!! Admissions and Financial Aid representatives from PSU will meet with students to review your application and help you get started with the next steps on the spot if you are accepted!! Please read the following information and fill out the RSVP form if you would like to participate.
In order to take advantage of this opportunity, you must meet PSU's admission requirements:3.0 GPA in high school classes (in some cases, less than 3.0 is considered, so talk with your counselor if that applies to you!!)
Have taken or are scheduled to take the SAT or ACTIf you are interested in participating, please RSVP by filling out the brief form below. I need to get a headcount of how many seniors plan to attend. I will send you additional information and instructions to get ready for the event if you plan to attend and fill out the RSVP form.
