The course will provide students with an overview of biology, the study of living things.  It introduces the fundamental principles of life as they apply to both plants and animals. Specific emphasis will be on Genetics and Evolution and how these concepts cause populations to change over time. Upon completion of this course students will show proficiency in course learning standards and daily targets outlined by the Next Generation Science Standards; as measured by classwork, participation, homework, projects, and tests.
