when two people work together as a team, things go smoother and work better when both people are happy with the outcome or decisions being made.
If you ask someone for a favor, they are more likely to help you (or work harder) if they benefit in some way. Humans are selfish and most of what they do is for themselves.
the phrase two is batter then one i believe is so true. but we get too caught up in our own lives that helping someone else becomes irrelavent.
