I feel that this kind of relates to the "If you don't have anything nice to say, then don't say it at all" quote.
We have the opportunity to close our mouths and not say anything or to not respond to something and even to strike up something else to say instead about a different topic. I think this relates to self-awareness because if we are aware of what we say and the consequences to what we say or do before we do it, than I think we will be less likely to say or do whatever we were going to before.
So by being self-aware we can tame our tongues or actions to what to say or do and if the outcome wont be good, we can always change the subject.
Our thoughts reflect on our actions and the behavoirs we have. So if we keep on thinking of the negative, wanting to feel better, it will just keep us down. But if we could only string some positive thoughts through our minds our inner confidence will build up, so we can stop worring and live life.
I think that this quote is saying that when you talk and think to yourself inside your head, if you start thinking negatively, like dissing people and things like that, you have the power to change that. Its your mind. You just have to realize your thoughts are wrong.
I can relate to this quote alot! I always find myself thinking really negative thoughts about myself. I tell myself "Your not pretty," "You'll never be as good as her," and other little things that tend to get the best of me. I tend to compare myself to others, which gets me no where. I need to realize I am who I am and I was created and put on this earth for a purpose, not just to sit in the corner shrivled up sucking my thumb. I need to put myself into the world and think about myself in a more positive way, but first I need to figure out how to think about myself positively because I constantly have negative thoughts running through my mind. I need to get my act together and THINK MORE POSITIVE!
If you can recognize that you only focus on the negative, you can change your perspective to the positive.
Everyone has the power to change their attitude. You just first have to recognize your negative attitudes and put yourself in the right direction to having a positive outlook on life. No one but you can change your attitude.
if you think negative thoughts you have the CHOICE to keep thinking them or to change to positive and try to be more optimistic. Its up to you and the attitude you choose to have in life.
