Are you listening to me?
Active, effective listening is a habit,as well as the foundation of effective communication.
Active listening intentionally focuses on who you are listening to, whether in a group or one-on-one, in order to understand what he or she is saying. As the listener, you should then be able to repeat back in your own words what they have said to their satisfaction. This does not mean you agree with, but rather understand, what they are saying.
What external factors may affect your active listening?

hey brady
i totly under stand dane i care for your larnex and it is so much easier when every one is paying attion to one thing instead of one million different things.
i think that some external factors are morgan snapping in your face, music maybe and also your veiws or interest in the topic. if it is something that bores you then you are more likely to space out while someone is talking. also distractions around you like other people talking or making noise of some sort.
not concentrating, not paying attention, being in your own little world.
ummm! I'm easly distracted, When other people I tend to start talking then they stop I and keep going! When something is boring I don't like to listen so I just don't. So yeah...awkward!
I know listening is important. Because when you listen the effect is you know that you will do or know thing the spearker try to say.
If you don't listen you do know and you won't do the right thing that spearker want you to do. And the same thing if you don't pay attantion to spearker. The spearker will be angry and it's not police for the rule of the listener.
Some external factors that may affect my active listening is listening to something that has not cought my attention. And having others by me having a different conversation, so I am listening to two different conversations at the same time.
Or having Morgan beside me. Because he is verrrry immature. And annoying.
Not paying attention, peers talking to you and distracting you, being stressed out, texting, not fucusing on what you need to be doing at the moment.
Others around us, not paying attention, being in your "bubble," distractions around, stresing out, cell phones, ipods, eatingg,
Keep your eyes on the teacher. Take notes. Ask questions to better understand. And pay attention. It is easy to get off track into your own little world and not pay attention. That is why you have to make sure you stay on track on what is going on and get rid of everything hindering you from listening well like cell phones or notes to your friend. It really helps to keep you on track and keeps others eyes on the teacher and not you.
The external factors that may affect my active listening is other people who are distracting me and are not doing what they are supposed to do. I also am distracted when people are talking and it is about me and i am supposed to be listening or also when people i am listening to are fidgety or doing something else.
